Prorated Upgrades, Downgrades, and Refunds

Upgrading Your Plan (Prorated Charges)

When you upgrade to a higher subscription tier, you won’t be charged the full price upfront. Instead, SEOJuice calculates a prorated charge reflecting the cost difference between your current and new plan. The upgrade takes effect immediately.

Example Calculation

  • Current plan: Standard Plan (100 EUR/month)
  • New plan: New Plan (150 EUR/month)
  • Days used: 15 days of the monthly cycle

The calculation:

  • Remaining credit from Standard Plan: 50 EUR
  • Remaining cost of New Plan: 50 EUR
  • Total upgrade cost: 50 EUR

Your next billing cycle will reflect the full New Plan price of 150 EUR/month.

Downgrading Your Plan

When you downgrade to a lower subscription tier, you will immediately be charged the full cost of the new subscription. The change takes effect right away.

Example

  • Current plan: 150 EUR/month
  • New plan: Standard Plan (100 EUR/month)
  • Timing: Halfway through the billing cycle

Result: You’ll be charged 100 EUR immediately for the Standard Plan. We do not offer prorated credits for downgrades, so timing your switch strategically is important.

Free Plan to Paid Plan

When you upgrade from the free plan to a paid plan:

  • The upgrade takes effect immediately — you gain access to all paid features right away.
  • Your billing cycle starts from the date you upgrade. For example, if you upgrade on January 15th, your next payment is due February 15th.
  • No automatic conversion — the free plan remains free indefinitely. You only get charged when you explicitly choose to upgrade.

Refunds

Monthly Plans: Generally, refunds are not provided for partial months after billing. However, refunds will be issued if you’ve actively worked on your site and implemented SEOJuice’s recommendations without seeing expected results.

No Refunds for Non-Usage: If you simply added SEOJuice to your site and expected results without any effort, no refund will be issued.

Annual Plans: Early cancellation qualifies for prorated refunds based on unused months, following the same effort-based criteria as monthly plans.

Free Plan: The free plan has no charges. You can upgrade to a paid plan at any time, and downgrade back to free whenever you choose.
