Monitor AI Brand Mentions
By the end of this guide, you’ll know how to track where your brand is mentioned across the web and whether sentiment is positive.
Prerequisites: Detect content decay to have your content monitoring in place.
Why monitor brand mentions?
Your brand reputation lives beyond your website. Mentions on Reddit, YouTube, and podcasts influence how potential customers perceive you — and increasingly, how AI search engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity reference your brand in their answers. Tracking these mentions helps you respond to negative sentiment, amplify positive coverage, and understand your brand’s reach.
Step 1: Enable brand presence tracking
Navigate to Brand Presence from the sidebar. If you haven’t enabled tracking yet, you’ll see a setup screen where you can select which platforms to monitor.
Select the platforms you want to track:
- Reddit — brand mentions across subreddits
- YouTube — videos mentioning your brand
- Podcasts — podcast episodes mentioning your brand
Click Enable Brand Presence Tracking to start monitoring.
Step 2: Review mentions and sentiment
Once tracking is active, SEOJuice scans each platform for mentions of your brand. Each mention shows:
- Platform — where the mention appeared
- Context — the surrounding text or content
- Sentiment — positive, negative, or neutral
- Engagement — upvotes, views, or listens
- Date — when the mention was detected
Step 3: Act on insights
Use brand mention data to:
- Respond to negative mentions — address customer complaints on Reddit or in video comments
- Amplify positive coverage — share positive reviews and testimonials
- Track competitor mentions — see how often competitors are mentioned alongside your brand
- Inform content strategy — topics that generate discussion are worth covering on your site
What to expect
Brand presence data updates as SEOJuice scans each platform. Initial results may take a day or two to appear. The frequency of new mentions depends on your brand’s visibility — established brands will see more activity than newer ones.
Next step: Track ranking changes to monitor how your keyword positions shift over time.
