Understand Your Domain Health Score

By the end of this guide, you’ll understand what your domain health score measures and which dimensions to prioritize.

Prerequisites: Read your SEO report first.

What is domain health?

Domain health is a single 0–100 score that measures your site’s overall authority and reputation. Unlike page-level scores, domain health reflects how search engines perceive your entire domain.

The CITE framework

SEOJuice measures domain health across four dimensions:

  • Citation — the quality and diversity of backlinks pointing to your domain, plus mentions in AI search results
  • Identity — brand signals, schema markup, and consistent business information across the web
  • Trust — link profile health, spam score, domain age, and security signals (SSL, HTTPS)
  • Eminence — organic search visibility, keyword rankings, and domain authority relative to competitors

Each dimension contributes to your overall score with weights that vary by your site type (SaaS, e-commerce, local business, etc.).

Below the main gauge, you’ll find three related metrics:

  • Avg Content Quality — how well-written and structured your pages are
  • Avg GEO Readiness — how likely AI search engines are to cite your content
  • Avg SEO Score — the average technical SEO score across all pages

What to expect

Domain health changes slowly — think weeks and months, not days. Building authority takes consistent effort: earning quality backlinks, publishing valuable content, and maintaining technical excellence. Small score fluctuations (1-3 points) between audits are normal.

Next step: Review your page scores to find which individual pages need the most work.
